I bought this camera for my wife, who is a point & shoot type.Works great! She can carry it in her purse easily, and she loves not looking through a tiny viewfinder to see the subject.The beautiful LCD screen is large in order to compose your recording. Yet, if you read the manual, and use the menus, you can also use different settings for your shots, like action, macro, portrait, etc.(Though not so) bad thing is the USB connection to your computer is not a standard connection USB, as one of my headset Bluetooth & my other cameras, so again, you need a separate cable. Don't forget you need to buy an SD card for it, the internal memory is soooo tiny.I got a card that works great to 8GB..
